Mary Jane Rodriguez, 75, of Windsor, Missouri, formerly of Port Hueneme, California, died Saturday evening, September 30, 2017, at her daughter’s home in Windsor.
She was born December 24, 1941, in Billings, Montana, the daughter of Adam (NMN) Brown Jr. and Cerise (Fowlkes) Brown. On January 17, 1959, in Billings, she married Charles Edwin “Chuck” Kukes and they were the parents of three children.
After her children were grown, Mary Jane helped manage a dry cleaners in Port Hueneme. She was an avid reader enjoyed playing cribbage.
Survivors include her 3 children, Charles “Chuckie” Kukes, Vacaville, Ca.; Jack Kukes (Anna), Glendale, California; and Tammy Kukes (Donnie “Cub” Hargett), Windsor, Mo.; several grandchildren including Richard Dungan, Shawnee, Kansas, and Misten Dungan, Windsor; several great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, James Brown (Marie), El Paso, Texas, and Larry Brown, Boise, Idaho; a sister, Dorothy Blankhartz, Port Hueneme, Ca.; a step-brother, Bob Miles (Linda), Pflugerville, Texas; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a step-brother, Gary Miles; a sister-in-law Lori Brown; a brother-in-law Ron Blankhartz.
Following cremation, interment will be held at a later date in Oxnard, California. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor.
