Larry James Eggleston

Jim was born July, 27, 1949 in Washburn, Missouri, to Eura and Marian (Snook) Eggleston. He attended Southwest Schools in Washburn, and graduated in 1967. Jim joined the US Army in 1969 and served in Korea.
In 1968, he married Madonna Latshaw and to this union were three children, Angel, Jimmie and Crystal. He also had two children with his wife, Debbie Miller-Swadley, Heather Eggleston Taylor and Dustin Lee Eggleston.
Jim owned a drywall company and worked in the construction industry for many years in the Kansas City area. His love was the family business of buying and selling antiques, much like his father, Eura. Jim also enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, telling stories. He was always good for a laugh, and everyone he met loved to visit with him.
Preceding him in death are his parents and three siblings, Norma June (Eggleston) Still, Pete Still and Darrell Johnnie Eggleston.
Jim is survived by his five children, Angela Kaye (Eggleston) Shewmaker and husband Jeff of Pleasant Hill, MO, Jimmie Christopher James Dean Eggleston and wife Melissa of Prairie Village, KS, Crystal Gayle Eggleston-Vaughn and husband Adam of Lone Jack, MO, Heather Eggleston Taylor of Butler, MO and Dusty Lee Eggleston of Deepwater, MO; six grandchildren, Josh, Taylor, Conway, Delilah, Emma and Maci; two sisters, Nelda Reed and husband Leon of Rolla, MO and Ema Lea Reed and husband Jack of Lawrence, KS; one sister-in-law, Doris Eggleston; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; along with many friends who will miss him greatly.
