Lois Arline Drury

( November 10, 1932 – October 17, 2017 )

Lois Arline Drury, age 84 years, of Clinton, Missouri passed on to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Clinton Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.  She died at Clinton Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center after being ill with congestive heart failure and double pneumonia.

Memorial Services will be at 2:00pm, Friday, October 20th, at Vansant-Mills Chapel with Dr. Randy Shipman officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be at Vansant Road Cemetery, Clinton, Missouri. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Lois Drury Memorial Fund and may be left at the funeral home.  Fond memories and condolences can be left online at www.vansant-millsfuneralhome.com.Lois, who mostly went by “Arline”, was an only child born in Coal, MO to John & Flossie Gilbert on November 10th, 1932. John was a big coon hunter, but stayed home the night Arline was born and agreed she was a better catch! Arline attended 1st – 8th grade school in Coal, MO. She finished her high school years in Clinton, MO by staying with a friend in town during the week. She obtained a job during this time at Kreisler’s working the fountain. Shortly after graduation she married Bobby Hunt. One child was born to this marriage, Karen Raylene Hunt. This marriage did not last. She later married Floyd Wesley Drury on October 19, 1957. Floyd was the love of her life. He lost his battle with cancer and passed on to be with the Lord 13 years ago. Arline worked at Unitog Sewing Factory for 17 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church and served many years in the nursery. Arline also ministered through song by joining Spirit Lifters and sang to others at the nursing homes.

Arline is preceded in death by her parents John & Flossie Gilbert, and her husband Floyd Wesley Drury.

Arline is survived by her daughter Karen Raylene Wilson, 3 grandsons Robert Wilson II, Jason Wilson, Timothy & Courtney Wilson and 7 great-Grandchildren, Dylan & Josiah Bucher, Sabrina, Julia, & Weston Wilson, Hadley & Elias Wilson.

Arline will be greatly missed. She was a wonderful homemaker and loved to cook & bake for her family. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Pauldine Yearout, Ray Yearout, David Yearout, Robert Wilson, Robert Wilson II, and Jason Wilson.

The family of Arline wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Gus Wetzel, Clinton Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Hospice, Dr. Randy Shipman, and First Baptist Church.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, Missouri.
