James Page

( December 25, 1943 – October 27, 2017 )

James L. Page, passed away expectantly on 10/27/2017 from natural causes in his home in Clinton Missouri.

Jim was a Christmas baby, continuing the Page family tradition of ornery, loveable, and handsome men on 12/25/1943 to Charles and Stella Louise Page in McDonald County, Missouri. He was the oldest of 6 children. Surviving siblings are Bruce Page of Windsor, Mo., Sheila Taylor and Charla Stevenson of Clinton, Mo., and Robert Page of Kingsville, Mo. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, his loving wife of 50 years, Mildred Thurston Page, and his baby sister Sherry Roland.

Mildred and Jim have four surviving children. James Page of Kansas City, Mo., Janet Pinkerton of Kingman, Ks., Julie Englebrecht of Hartsville, Tn., and Joseph Page of Lakewood, Co. James has 10 grandchildren and 6 ½ great grandchildren. Jim also leaves behind his loving pets/children Chipper and Fancy who have kept him company for the last eleven years.

Jim was a recent transplant to Clinton, Mo. He considered his home for many years to be Longton, Ks. In Longton he leaves behind many friends and all of his poker buddies.

Jim served in the United States Air Force for four years when he was a young husband and father. He cut a very handsome picture in that uniform let me tell you. He spent most of his working career as an over the road truck driver and in later years a school bus driver where he brought joy to many, many children with his bucket of candy sitting on the floor board of the bus. Since retirement Jim’s favorite thing to do was play poker with his friends and family as often as possible.

Jim was the type of guy who would give you the shirt off his back and never made any enemies. He was lucky enough to spend the last couple months of his life traveling in his RV visiting with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren who are spread across the country. He will be missed by many.

There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Oddfellows Building, 215 W. Benton St, Windsor, MO.

Fond memories and condolences can be left at www.vansant-millsfuneralhome.com.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton Missouri.
