Betty L. Bernard, 73, of Windsor, Missouri, died Thursday evening, October 26, 2017, at her home in Windsor.
She was born July 24, 1944, in Clinton, Mo., the daughter of Henry Nicholas Boehler and Margaret Eugenia (Garrett) Boehler. On January 26, 1963, at the Holy Rosary Church in Clinton, Mo., she married James Wesley “Jay” Bernard and he preceded her in death on August 10, 2009.
Betty was a hairdresser for many years. She then worked for the Windsor School District in the lunchroom for several years. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She also enjoyed reading, watching General Hospital, and connecting with friends and family on Facebook.
Survivors include 3 children, Mary Parker and her fiancée, Tim, Grandview, Mo.; Steve Bernard, Deepwater, Mo.; and Dana Fields of the home in Windsor; 5 grandchildren, Malenda Mayfield, Grandview, Mo.; Marc Mayfield, Independence, Mo.; Austin Fields, Windsor, Mo.; Wyatt Bernard, Deepwater, Mo.; and Eric Evans; 3 great-grandchildren, Ethan Mayfield and Gavin and Chloe Clymer; 4 sisters, Mary Alice Anstine, Leeton, Mo.; her twin sister Nancy Eck, Huntsville, Alabama; and M. Ann Eck, Maryville, Mo.; and Barbara Prenger, Jefferson City, Mo.; 2 brothers, Henry “Bud” Boehler and Fred Boehler both of Clinton, Mo.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A Prayer Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 10, 2017, at the St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Windsor. The family suggests memorial contributions to Twin Lakes Hospice in care of the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor. Condolences may be left online at www.hadleyfuneralhome.com.
