2/21-Perry Graef

Perry Raye Graef of Blairstown, Missouri was born May 3, 1948 in Clinton, Missouri the daughter of Ray William and Anna (Perry) Jenkins. She departed this life on Sunday February 18, 2018 at St. Luke’s East Hospital, Lee’s Summit, Missouri surrounded by friends and family at the age of 69 years, 9 months and 15 days.

Perry was united in marriage to James Elton “Jim” Graef on September 17, 1965 in Urich, Missouri.

Perry was a homemaker and earlier was employed at Vogt’s Grocery and later at Dan’s Market in Urich. She was a member of the Urich Christian Church serving as the pianist for several years. She was also a member of the Sigma Theta Sorority, Sisters in Heart, and the Urich Historical Society, showing special interest in the museum. She enjoyed traveling, painting and wood carving. Perry took great pride in her children and grandchildren, never missing a school activity or game. She was a lifelong area resident.

Besides her parents, Perry was preceded in death by her beloved dog, Gidget.

Perry is survived by her husband, Jim Graef, of the home; a son Timothy R. Graef (Sarabeth), Blairstown, Missouri; a daughter, Terri Leann Vandervort (Zack), Creighton, Missouri; seven Grandchildren, Samantha (Dan), Dylan (Rachel), Tabitha (Trenton), Ethan, Vanessa, Kennady and Sydney; two great-grandchildren, Reaghan and Axel; her sister, Deanna James, Urich, Missouri, other relatives and a host of friends.

Cremation. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Saturday, March 3, 2018 in the basement of the Urich Catholic Church, Urich, Missouri.

Family suggests memorial contributions to the Urich Historical Society Museum.

Arrangements are under the care of Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri.
