The SERVICE for Kathy will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2018 at Hill and Son Funeral Home, Appleton City, Missouri.
The MINISTER officiating will be Pastor Tony Reynolds.
VISITATION will be from 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. preceding the funeral.
INTERMENT will be in Appleton City Cemetery, Appleton City, Missouri.
The family suggests any MEMORIAL donations be made to the Appleton City Cemetery.
Katherine Elizabeth Seider was born October 30, 1941 in Butler, Missouri, the daughter of Merle Charles and Lorene Alice (Steuck) Kline. She passed away peacefully at her home on April 12, 2018 at age 76.
Kathy accepted Christ at an early age and this proved evident through her actions all her life. Shortly after she graduated from Rich Hill High School in 1959, Kathy married her high school sweetheart, Dale Seider, on May 31, 1959. They were blessed with two children, Marlon and Krystal. Krystal was born on the same day as her mother, which made it an extra special birthday.
Apart from her family, Kathy loved helping Dale farm and haul grain. She also enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening as well as mowing the yard. Along with laboring on the farm and in her yard, Kathy cooked for the Appleton City School District for 33 years, making numerous good friends during those years. Many students of Appleton City School fondly remember her warm personality and the delights she prepared for them in the cafeteria.
She felt very blessed to have the opportunity to care for and enjoy her grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She had many wonderful memories of spoiling them through the years. Her family remembers the superb quality of her chocolate malts they enjoyed regularly at her home. Kathy was always the selfless caregiver of the Seider family, who dropped anything at a moments notice to help them. She will be dearly missed by all her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Preceding Kathy in death were her parents; her husband of 54 years, Dale; her daughter Krystal Raybourn in 2001; her son-in-law Harry Raybourn in 2004; and her grandson Payton Raybourn in 2007.
Survivors include her son Marlon Seider and wife Cindy; her grandchildren: Heather Diehl (Andrew), Valerie Schiereck (Brett), Shelley Davis (Matt), Harrison Raybourn (Sarah) and Marriah Seider (Cameron Ginther); her great-grandchildren: Nathanial, Zoie, Jagger, Tessa, Taylan, Trayse, Chaz and Reid; two sisters Genavie Ruehling and Wanda Fleischer (Roy); many nieces, nephews and friends.
