Don Dady, 84, of Windsor, Missouri, died Wednesday afternoon, September 5, 2018, at University Hospital in Columbia, Mo.
He was born March 18, 1934, near Windsor, Mo., the son of Harry Dady Sr. and Rosa Alice (Gordon) Dady. On August 31, 1954 in Leeton, Mo., he married Dorothy Lucille Gee and she survives of the home.
Don worked for Hammond Construction and then Telecom for a number of years, retiring in 1988. In retirement, he enjoyed year-round crappie fishing and continued to fix and repair anything he could get his hands on. He loved to eat, especially biscuits and gravy, and listening to music at the end of the day.
In addition to his wife Dorothy, survivors include 3 children, Connie Blythe, Kay Black (Dave), and Ronnie Dady (Shonna), all of Windsor, Mo.; 8 grandchildren, Dan Dady, Dustin Blythe, Sean Blythe, Tyler Blythe, Chris Dady, Megan Cannon, Devin McComb, and Kameron McComb; 2 step-grandchildren, Kate Davey and Sarah Black; 11 great-grandchildren with 3 great-grandchildren on the way; a sister, Janie Clark (Dee), Overland Park, Kansas; 2 sister-in-laws, Peggy Johnson and Marie Miller, both of Windsor; and numerous nieces, nephews, and special fishing friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Harry Dady Jr, Tommy Dady, and Danny Dady; and a sister, Nadine Cooper.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, September 8, 2018, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor. Burial will be at a later date at the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor.
