Leroy George

Leroy was born February 11, 1940, in Clinton, Missouri the son of Lloyd and Ruby (Barnhart) George. Leroy was a lifetime farmer and resident of Henry County. He carried mail in Blairstown and Chilhowee, Missouri for 36 years. Leroy enjoyed driving his red pickup truck with his dog Holly on the family farm. He had an immense passion for raising cattle and rowcrop. He loved to share stories and tell jokes with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Ila June, and wife, Anna “Earleen” (Hough) George.
Survivors include two sons, Russell George (Gena) of Blairstown, Missouri and Kelvin George (Jane) of Green Bay, Wisconsin, one daughter, Jackie Gardner (Lonnie) of Warrensburg, Missouri, one brother, Clifford George (Mary Alice) of Blairstown, Missouri, one sister, Barbara Redmond (Ron) of Duluth, Georgia, 3 grandchildren; Nathan George of Blairstown, Missouri, Ryan George of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Kelsie George of Boston, Massachusetts, step-grandson, Doug Wetzel of Leeton, Missouri, three step-great-grandchildren, Brett, Bradley and Gracie Wetzel of Leeton, Missouri, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
