Gary D. Portwood, age 63, of Clinton, MO, died at Golden Valley Hospital on Wednesday, February 3, 2016. He was born in California, MO, the son of John D. and Katheryn ‘McKissick’ Portwood. He was married to Anna Lee ‘Anders’ Portwood who survives of the home. Gary attended the Jehovah’s Witness Church in Clinton, MO. In addition to his wife, Gary is survived by his children, Gary Michael Portwood and Renee` Lynn Chaffin; his step-daughter, Shelley (Kenny Ray) Wisdom, Clinton, MO; 11 grandchildren; siblings, Charles Portwood, Virginia Kelley, Mary Gordon, and Sharon Dugan. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, John D. Portwood, Harold Portwood and Jim Portwood. The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 8, 2016, at Consalus Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at Stone’s Chapel Cemetery following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gary Portwood Memorial Fund and left in care of Consalus Funeral Home, 209 S. 2nd, Clinton, MO.
