Lewis Lee Snow, age 81, of Clinton, died on Monday, March 14, 2016 at Western Missouri Medical Center, Warrensburg.
Lewis was born Sunday, September 2, 1934 to Morris Snow and Dorothy ‘Thompson’ Snow of Kansas City, MO. Lewis left high school early in order to enlist in the Navy. He later received his GED. Lewis served in special services of the Navy during the Korean Conflict. After his service, he went to work in California in the area of heavy construction, building several highways, interstates, tunnels, etc. He married Darlene Heck in Richmond, California on October 15, 1960. Upon retirement, they moved to Clinton. Lewis was a member of the Pile Drivers Union of Oakland, CA.
Survivors include his wife of the home; three children, Greg Snow, Anthony Snow (Mary) of Fishers, IN and Gerald Snow of Hanford, CA; four grandchildren, Michael Snow (Yvette), Bernadette Snow, Danielle Snow and John Moon III; two great-grandchildren, Chad Snow and Aaron Maldonado; one brother, Leonard Snow (Lillian) of Independence, MO; one sister, Sue Everly (Charlie) of Metz, MO; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Lewis was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Jennifer Lynn Snow; and three sisters, Betty Lou, Mary and May.
Lewis’ wishes were to be cremated. No services are scheduled. An inurnment will follow at a later date in California.
