Mildred Nadine Stewart

Born: April 16, 1919
Died: March 26, 2016

Mildred Nadine Stewart, age 96 years, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016 at her home in Urich, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 with visitation 1 hour prior at Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, Missouri. Interment will follow at Englewood Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Urich Christian Church or Twin Lakes Hospice and may be left in care of the funeral home. Mildred Nadine Stewart was born on April 16, 1919 in Henry County, Missouri to George and Mary Alvena Roberts. She went to Mound Grade School then to Clinton High School where she graduated in 1937.

Nadine married her good grade school and high school friend, Clifford Stewart. They purchased a farm north of Urich and lived out there the rest of her life. She was a cook at Urich and Sherwood School for 23 years. Nadine was a member of the Urich Christian Church, Grand River Homemaker’s Club and Red Hatter’s (she really enjoyed the meetings).

Nadine was preceded in death by her husband, infant twin son, John Duane, her parents, 3 brothers; Wallis, Howard, and Wayne, and sister Evelyn Batschelet.

Surviving are her children, Joyce (Stewart) and Alan Jones of Lee’s Summit; Dwight and Linda (Long) Stewart of Urich; Brenda (Stewart) and Jason Kehl of Centralia, MO. Also surviving are grandchildren: David Anderson of Clinton, Patrich Stewart & Shelly Root of Urich, Adrienne (Kehl) and Kevin Burton of Lee’s Summit, Jessica (Stewart) & Tim Eaton of Clinton, Collin Kehl of Mexico, MO; Kent Jones of Grain Valley & Donavan Jones of Belton; great grandchildren: Logan, Waylon & Morgan Anderson, Chantz Riley, Josie Soloman, Kaleb, Carson & Aaron Eaton, Hannah, McKinsey, Dawson, Emma & Brantley Jones; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, Missouri.
