Donald Ray Snider, age 79, of Clinton, MO, died at his home, on April 21, 2016, following a long illness.
Don was born June 26, 1936 to Walter Grant Snider and Frances Mae Anderson Snider of Appleton City, MO. After school, he went to work as a general laborer in the construction industry. Don married Rosella Charlene Morse on July 13, 1955 in Leesville, MO. He was a member of the local labor union. Don owned and operated the storage facility at Snider corner, on Hwy, 7, approximately 10 miles East of Clinton.
Survivors include a son, Marty Snider (Marla); 2 daughters, Connie Hunsucker and Donna McGuire (Larry); 5 grandchildren, Tony, Amanda, Eric, Erin and Clint; 7 great-grandchildren, Aidan, Connor, Lanayah, Lilly, Bodie, Hailey Jo and Garrett; 3 brothers, Clifford Snider, Garry Snider and Clyde Snider; 7 sisters, Thelma Richter, Marjorie Kincheloe, Shirlene Terry, Gwendolyn Johnson, Bonnie Bailey, Charlotte Gillespie and Gail Vaughn; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Preceding Don in death were his parents; his wife; a brother, Keith; and 3 sisters, Virginia, Claudine and Vernetta.
The family will receive visitors at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, April 25, 2016 at Consalus Funeral Home, Clinton. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M., also at Consalus Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Park’s Chapel Cemetery.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Heartland Hospice and left in care of Consalus Funeral Home, 209 S. 2nd St., Clinton, MO 64735.
