Willie J. Carter, age 82 years, of Clinton, Missouri passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Clinton Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. Memorial Services will be held September 8, 2016 at 10:30am at the Vansant-Mills Chapel. Private family inurnment will be scheduled for a later date in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO. Willie was born July 2, 1934 in Arkansas, the son of Joe and Alpha (Anderson) Carter. He was retired from the Kansas City, Missouri Public School System where he worked in maintenance. He enjoyed fishing and playing music with his guitar. Most of all he loved his family.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; Thurman and Arvil Carter.
Survivors include a sister, Charlene Bramell of Clinton, MO, two brothers; Ellis Carter of Warsaw, MO, and Leroy Carter (Shirley) of Reno, NV, as well as lots of nieces, nephews and other family.
