Billy Joe Sanders, age 81, of Clinton, died at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, on Sunday, November 6, 2016.

Billy was born January 10, 1935 to Russell Harding Sanders and Lola Edith ‘Thompson’ Sanders of Deepwater, MO.  Billy married Betty Henson on July 4, 1986.  He worked in the coal mine and for over 30 years at the Elevator in Montrose.

Survivors include his children, William Sanders, Ruby Mart (Scott Buckler), Jack Sanders (Nancy), Ronnie Sanders, Larry Sanders (Michelle); step-children, Patty, Larry, Lynne (Dwayne), Ernest (Lou); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sister, Wilma Coleman; several nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Preceding him in death, were his parents; his wife, Betty; brothers, George and Charles; and sisters, Mary Ellen, Ruby and Ruth.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Consalus Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM, followed by Interment at Deepwater Cemetery, Deepwater, MO.
