Doloris LaRose, 71, of Holden, Missouri, formerly of Warrensburg, Mo., died of Septic Shock, late Wednesday evening, December 7, 2016, at the Western Missouri Medical Center, Warrensburg, Missouri.
She was born February 13, 1945, in Mishawaka, Indiana, the daughter of George LaRose and Ruby Etta (Harvey) LaRose. She grew up and spent most of her adult life in Muskegon, Michigan.
Doloris was a certified nursing assistant working in the home health field and nursing homes. She attended Fellowship Reform Church in Muskegon. After moving to Warrensburg, Mo., she worked at Helping Hands and volunteered at the Warrensburg Senior Center and Clothes Closet. She enjoyed taking care of her Siamese cat, Samson and loved roses. She attended the First Baptist Church, Warrensburg and later the Holden First United Methodist Church, where she sang in the church choir. Doloris was a caring person and was always looking for ways to help others.
Doloris was the mother of 3 children: 2 daughters, Shelly Loss and Deanna Vryhof, both of Muskegon, Michigan; and a son, William Savage who preceded her in death. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, Korina Dibble, Johnathan Savage (Samantha), Brittany Dibble (fiancé Nathan), Robin Savage, and Timothy McClain; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Lillian Lee-Lopata and Marie LaRose, both of Windsor, Mo.; a brother, George W. LaRose (Pat), Windsor, Mo.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her son, she was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Julia LaRose; and a brother, Dale LaRose.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., Monday, December 12, 2016, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, Mo. The family suggests memorial contributions for funeral expenses in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be left online at www.hadleyfuneralhome.com.
