Lois was born April 11, 1939 in Clinton, Missouri the daughter of Kirby Francis Conrad and Juanita Vioma (Scott) Conrad. Lois was a seamstress. Over the years she was employed at Unitog in the shirt division, and also at McFarlands Fabric on the Clinton square. In addition, she worked alongside her husband, William Allen Foster, on their farm. Lois was a member of Parks Chapel Baptist Church in Tightwad. She enjoyed sewing, painting, cooking, fishing, and hunting mushrooms. She also loved gardening and tending to her roses in particular. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was the Best mother of 4, grandmother of 5, great-grandma to 4, and MeeMaw to many in the Gougeye area. Everyone was always welcome in her house and fed. Many called her MeeMaw and thought of her as theirs.
She loved her life on the farm, in the later years she would watch the cattle out her window. On the days that she was able to go out for a ride and look them over, she always had words to share about how she checked and looked about the farm. It was some of the best advise that we all still do and use.
She was a mother, meemaw, friend, and role model to so many, she was the Best!
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Allen Foster in 2013; one brother, Kirby Conrad, Jr.; and a nephew, Zach Conrad.
Survivors include her children; Carla J. Davis (Dennis), William Allen Foster Jr. (Cathy), John Kirby Foster, and Thomas Walter Foster, 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, two brothers; Larry Conrad (Paula) and Dewey Conrad (Darlene); a sister-in-law, Marcille Allen (Billy), as well as her fur-baby, Tater Tot.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, Missouri.
