Charles R. Church, 61, of Clinton, Missouri died Saturday, January 16, 2016, at his home in Clinton.
He was born May 28, 1954, in Windsor, Missouri, the son of Clarence Wilbur Church and Sarah Adeline (Funk) Church.
He was a member of Calhoun Baptist Church and had recently been attending the Assembly of God of Clinton. He was also a member of People First. He collected Santa Clauses and loved being with his family. He was eager to share his smile with people passing by his home.
Survivors include a brother, Dale Church and his wife Sharon, Clinton, Mo.; 3 sisters, Barbara West, Springfield, Mo., Helen Sell and her husband Dwight, Calhoun, Mo., and Ellen Chilson and her husband David, Harrisonville, Mo.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Jimmie Leon Church and Forest Wayne Church.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor. Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery, Calhoun, Mo. The family will receive friends before the service from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions to the Home Delivered Meals programs of the Clinton and Windsor senior centers in care of the funeral home.
